glass collection

The Glass collection is inspired by Tania’s photos of lines and patterns formed on windows wet with condensation and shadows viewed through glass. Each photograph captures a specific movement that occurs only for one instant.

Translated into rugs, these unique images of light, water and reflections are woven by hand from silk and wool.

In Tree Mist, branches are viewed through a misty window in dusty shades of wool and vibrant silk
In Trickle, Misty streaks of water trickling down glass are conveyed through shades of wool as they disappear into silvery silk.
Frosted Leaf shows the shadow of leaves silhouetted through a misty window in dusty shades of wool and silk.
Breeze captures shadows of branches swaying in the breeze briefly illuminate a wall in shades of wool and silk.
Beads of condensation create abstract layers of pattern and texture in wool and silk
In Rain Lines, wavy lines of rain stream down glass in dusky wool and silk.
All of these complex designs are translated into intricately hand woven rugs, made by artisans in Nepal, using a combination of silk and wool. We have a long standing relationship with local rug producers and work closely with GoodWeave, a certification programme with a rigorous and binding set of rules that ensures no child labour is used in the production of rugs.
