Abstract Collection

The Abstract collection is based on Tania’s photography capturing the textures and patterns created by the microscopic details found in nature. Translated into rugs, these unique images are woven by hand from silk and wool.
Stupa Lines shows a close up of the textural lines tracing an ancient Stupa's history. The contrast of pashmina and silk creates a soft and luxurious matte/shine finish
Inspired by tangled threads of silk seen through a painted gauze, Threads is interpreted in a wool base with textural silk accents.
A textural close up of rusting and grainy ironwork, areas of silk and wool recreate the varying textures of Velvet Diamonds.
A microscopic view of ice on glass. The subtle striations of Fragmented Ice shine in silk on the matte wool ground.
Each of these intricate designs is translated into a luxurious hand knotted rug, made by artisans in Nepal, using a combination of Chinese silk and Himalayan wool. We have a long standing relationship with local rug producers and work closely with GoodWeave, a certification programme with a rigorous and binding set of rules that ensures no child labour is used in the production of our rugs.
