Nature Collection

The Nature collection is based on Tania’s photography capturing fleeting moments in time created by shadows, reflections and the microscopic details found in nature. Translated into rugs, these unique images are woven by hand from silk and wool.
Abstract Floral is inspired by an image of a hand painted flower photographed through a gauzy fabric, rendered in silk on a wool ground.
Tree branches in the rain, viewed through a gauzy mesh. Created in pure silk, this rug gradually shifts from an intricate design to a sheen of colour as you move around it.
Layers of blossoming branches create the nature inspired pattern of Blossom with pure silk accents on a background of wool.
Lined Stem is Inspired by the shadow of an orchid viewed through a layer of loosely woven, transparent fabric. The flower silhouette, raised in pure silk, lies on a ground of wool with fine lines of wool and silk running through it.
An image of reflected trees in a lake. Using tonal colours and blending wool and silk in a single knot, the image is recreated. As the percentages of silk vary throughout the design, the rug shimmers and moves like the water that inspired it.
Each of these intricate designs is translated into a luxurious hand knotted rug, made by artisans in Nepal, using a combination of Chinese silk and Himalayan wool. We have a long standing relationship with local rug producers and work closely with GoodWeave, a certification programme with a rigorous and binding set of rules that ensures no child labour is used in the production of our rugs.
